I haven't heard much discussion or seen much expansion on Legacies for Changeling, and yet they're such an important and integral part of the game (to me), that I will focus on this topic through this page.
If you've grown bored playing the few Legacies listed in Changeling 2nd Edition and the Player's Guide, you can expand your selection by using Archetypes from other World of Darkness sourcebooks. The only thing you may need to do is come up with a Ban, as I did for my character Willie.
Below are some completely new Legacies to use for characters. As far as I know, these do not duplicate any Archetypes in any World of Darkness sourcebook.
The whining, "Can't we all just get along?" is your battle-cry. You know that enemies are nothing more than friends who haven't yet met, and you are absolutely positive that any disagreement can eventually be worked out. You are constantly on the lookout for troubled lovers, estranged friends, and hostile sides to reconcile. Of course, there are plenty of situations which come your way in this world - and you do all you can to help.
Quest: Regain Willpower whenever you resolve a situation between warring parties.
Ban: Never fight - always try to talk it out instead.
The world is built on love, and there is at least one love for everyone. You know this, and live to help others find love. No, not necesssarily their "True Love," although this is wonderful when it happens. But the lonely and depressed call to you, and you help them find romance, and help it build, whenever possible. However, romance is not for you - you have a higher calling.
Quest: Regain Willpower whenever you help someone fall in love.
Ban: Never miss an opportunity to introduce someone who is lonely to a possible romantic interest.
You love... love. You want to feel that emotion all the time and forever. You love being in love, and you love being loved. And it must be real - none of that superficial pleasure the cerenaics are fond of. You will also do anything for your current love(s), and love proving your love.
Quest: Regain Willpower whenever you truly fall in love, another truly falls in love with you, or you prove to another your love for him/her.
Ban: Never allow yourself to be without at least a romantic interest.
You are well aware that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that what is "true" depends upon how one perceives it. You also love to learn through conversation, and love to open the minds of others through argument. You can debate anything from any point of view, and often do.
Quest: Regain Willpower whenever you get someone to admit fault in their "side of an argument" and see that you're right.
Ban: Nothing, anywhere, is absolutely true. You will never know True Faith, True Love, True Friendship, etc., because it can all change based on the person's perceptions.
Your primary goal in life is to frighten the bejesus out of everyone, whether through pranks, direct assault, or making disturbing home movies. You love the thrill of their fear, that glamorous emotion, and you especially look to literally scare the Banality out of people. If you cannot scare someone yet, you will. It just takes some time to find out what make them tick. The world is a scary place, and there are none scarier than you.
Quest: Regain Willpower whenever you cause complete terror in someone. This includes panicked flight, scared stiff, loosing control of bodily functions, etc. Anything less just won't do.
Ban: Never ever comfort anyone.
Logic is a dead end - feeling is a living stream. That's how you live your life: rationalizing little; acting on emotions. When you see a situation, you don't think about what to do - you just know it and do it. Planning is a waste of time, although meditating is not. You may be a Gnostic, believe in Zen, or just may be called "flighty." However, you know that you are, and you didn't have to think to be so.
Quest: Regain Willpower whenever you solve a serious problem by an irrational means.
Ban: Never think.
