The Gathering

The Biscuits	Gimar - Fighter 8th Level (PC) G'Leina - Fighter/Cleric 1st/1st Level (PC)

Date	8th of Ready'reat, 584 CY (Common Year)
Time	Mid-Morning

Gimar waited in the common room of the White Tree, making notes on a parchment. Outside, the rain continued for the second day. A few moments later, G'Leina poked her head in the door from the lobby.

G'Leina	Still no sign of the next candidate.
Gimar	Who are we waiting for again?
G'Leina	A Bishop Gary or something like that
Gimar	Well, you can't beat priests for fighting undead. Come on over and let's take a look at who we've got so far.
G'Leina	OK, I'll grab some popped corn.

Settling down near the fireplace, Gimar and G'Leina huddle together to discuss the prospects. The candidates they had seen so far were:

Vance Sudten, a male Gnomish Rogue who came recommended by the Mayor
Klaus Bechyney, a male Mountain Dwarven Ranger from Dumadan
Dray Rahar, a male Half-Elven warrior
Heley Jensen, a female Baklunish Cleric of Mayaheine
Hannah Jot, an female Oeridian Mage-in-training
Wed Booth, a male Flan Mage with a short haircut
Ebon Snob, a male Oeridian Paladin-in-Training of Mayaheine

Appointments for this day include

Bishop Gary, race/sex/profession unknown (Gerb)
Jaron Yhanovaar, a male Paladin-in-Training of Pelor (Ryan)

Gimar	Well, after this Bishop and that last appointment, we should be able to form our party. Let's shoot for leaving on the 10th, and pray to the gods that this weather doesn't continue.
G'Leina	You know, it isn't going to be any drier in the swamp, Gimar.
Gimar	I realize this, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
G'Leina	Now, Gimar. If you're not careful, all the children will dance around your window singing Sourpuss and Grumpyface and you don't want that, now do you? What do you recommend in terms of equipment?
Gimar	(chagrinned) Most of the people I've talked to have basic equipment already. This location (indicating the map) isn't in the swamp proper, and is about 2 days ride, so I suggest we should all have horses.
G'Leina	Fine with me. What about party gear?
Gimar	I believe we should have tents and rope. The terrain is scrub hills, so tinder should not be a problem. And we can follow the Ery most of the way so water should not be a problem either.
G'Leina	What about the creature?
Gimar	I have a little experience with the undead, and my friend the smith does have some silvered weapons we can try out. I believe he can loan them to our group, providing we return them of course.
G'Leina	Of course. Well, that only leaves the question of what to call our party?
Gimar	Good question...
