Eden Celeste lives in soggy Portland, Oregon where she resides with her 6 pets which include one dog, two cats, one frogs, one newt and her husband.
On a typical day, after wading home from her day job, you can find Eden in front of the TV working on either her art, sewing medieval, middle eastern or sci-fi costumes, reading a book, playing RPGs, embroidering or on the computer creating web sites, surfing the net, emailing or playing video games.
When Eden's not being distracted by her other pastimes she's working on her favorite type of art. Currently that would be either dark and brooding gothic women or watercolors of women and other fantastical creatures. Eden finds the female form to be very beautiful, easy to work with and, if nothing else, she knows that she can always use a mirror as a reference!
Eden's inspiration comes from artists such as H.J. McKinney, Olivia, Waterhouse, Michael Whelan, Tim Bradstreet, Keith Parkinson and Brian Froud.
She enjoys realism in fantasy or looking at a painting and seeing a story within the picture. This is the feeling that Eden tries to capture in her art.
Eden has been finding herself drawn more and more to the macabre and gothic themed genres. Her latest self-promotional project has been illustrating net goths. This has mostly been for her own enjoyment, but she has now attained a reputation as a gothic artist in the internet community.
