Questionable Ethics

Code Name: Questionable Ethics ("That's "Dr. Questionable Ethics" to YOU.")
Real Name: Dr. Dreijer (First name unknown.)
Age: 27
Height: 6'3"
Eye Color: Steel blue.
Hair Colour: Dirty blonde.
Weight: 180 lbs.
Place of Birth: Auckland, New Zealand.
Power(s): Two major powers, her preferred one being Microbiotic Control. That being, the ability to control, analyse and manipulate monocellular organisms and small cell clusters on a chromosomal level. However, this ability, while granting her the ability to "mutate" bacteria and such, also works both ways; She can tell from a few days after conception if the zygote in a woman's womb will be heathly, or contains genetic defects. During a window of perhaps three weeks, she also has the ability to correct those disabilities.

Polycellular organisms, however, are beyond her control. The most the can alter at once are small cell groups, perhaps leaving long-term damage, but more often than not the host's immune system will flush the alterations as it would a bacterial infection. This ability also allows her to detect and set right minor genetic defects, such as lesser cancers and tumors that may grow later on.

The second ability is a "laying of hands", of sorts. This allows her to heal minor wounds, both in herself and other persons, though it is far more draining to try to heal larger ones, and her chance of success is far less. Helpful in performing minor corrective surgeries without the need of a laser or scapel. Using a similar technique to the Microbiotic Control, the doctor can allow her abilities to delve into the wounded person's genetic code, and trigger the cells around the wound site to heal themselves at a far accelerated rate.

As with telepaths, communicating and ordering increased cellular mitosis is extremely draining. Although in some rare cases, she has been able to trigger the regeneration of limbs, she damned near gives herself a heart attack in the process.

Thankfully, the doctor's abilities are countered by a sort of built-in Hippocratic Oath; She cannot use them to harm another living being. However, some of the virii she has engineered with her abilities, if released, could do more harm than her "powers" ever could...

History

The name says it all; A woman of most questionable scientific ethics.

2002, at the age of 18, Dreijer enlisted in the RNZA and was sent to University on an Army grant, where she was soon recognised as one of the top minds in the world on the subject of Genetic Engineering. Her graduating thesis on the Genetic Evolution of Mankind not only achieved her a degree with honors from Massey University, but also attracted the attention of the entire scientific community.

2006, she recieved a privately couriered invitation to visit New York, to meet with the ever-elusive Dr. Mindstroem, of Mindstroem Industries. Honored, the young Dr. Dreijer took up the invitation, and eventually ended up working for Mindstroem Industries, on a little-known project called the Engeltodes.

2010, late in December, shortly after her 27th birthday, Dreijer retired from her work on the Engeltodes Project, and left Mindstroem Industries. Her reasons for doing so, as well as her future plans, are unknown. To date, she has been living off her savings and minor research grants from the government for small, private studies.
