Five years ago the wars were growing. Mutants like Apocolypse, Magneto, Juggernaut, Mister Sinister.. were growing in power.. and X-Factor was growing Edgy. Magneto and Cable, who once had a 'tenative' agreement, do to Magneto's children was soon dissolved. Magneto having been given a better and offer for more power. The members of X-Facr were slowly becoming engaged in battles of war with everyone, and do to a Mimic, sometimes even thier own team members. Bloodshed and distrust were becoming more and more a fact of life then the original trust and friendship that had founded the team. Deceit and Lies laying the foundation for the takeover..
So much anger was coming from what was once a place of joy, teamwork, and knowledge. The College was literally in flames, ashes and ruination. Vyre, a mimic mutant and Lazarus, a mutant who could cause earthquakes laughing in the distance. Plotting to help the Dark Deception of powerful Mutants, continue the destrustion. Cable saw this, and saw what was happening.. He knew what would happen, as he was from the far future. And He put a stop to it. He knew the team could do some good but elsewhere, only if a new team could be found to take over in the location base: NY. He found the most powerfully good aligned mutant He could at the time, and her name was Eclipse.
Eclipse and Cable talked for many weeks and she wound up accepting for the sole reason: She didn't wish new york reduced to ashes. So following Cable she was taken back to the Campus and put through a rigorous training of almost a year. She learned how to singlehandedly run the place. Once she learned, and had picked a skeleton bones crew Cable left. He took X-Factor with him. In time Eclipse built up X-factor into something grand. Working hard to see the mistakes of the past were not recreated in the present and future. Though these days she is rarely seen, she does keep a watchful eye over those She leads.
The Team will grow, and live and prosper. But only if everyone gives it their best shot.
