Total cost to play a Tedean is 15 skill points.

Why these advantages?

Amphibious - Tedeans spend as much of their time in water as they do on land.

Acute Sight - Tedeans have large eyes allowing them to gather more light. This is primarily an adaptation allowing them to see better while swimming in the oceans of their homeworld, but has benefits on land as well.

+2 Base Swimming Movement Rate - Being as much water as land creatures they possess a higher than natural swimming speed.

Athletics 1, Swimming 2 - The Tedeans are a physically active race born to swim in the oceans of their homeworld.

Why these disadvantages?

Strength -1 - Tedean musculature is well suited to swimming, but doesn't handle lifting or feats of strength very well.

*Skin Dries Out - Creatures spending as much of their life in the water as they do on land usually have a reason for doing so. Tedeans go back to the water to avoid unnecesary problems with their skin drying and cracking. Being amphibious Tedeans must constantly soak their skin in water or risk having it dry out. For most Tedeans this is painful and adds +1 to DL of all physical actions until they get a chance to soak their skin for 5 to 10 minutes.
