Winter's Note: I got this poem from my friend Kendrick. He apparently snagged it of the White-Wolf Changeling forum a year or so ago, so the credits for this poem go to the guy in the sig. I wish I could do better... A point of debate Amongst scholars of late (Though the issue's been raging some time): When choosing a lover From one kith or another, Which Kith would one find most divine? Some say "In a Sidhe Is the best place to be, For their beauty, they get a high mark." But wise Satyrs will know From experience though, That all kith look the same in the dark. An Eshu is bliss for an overnight tryst, But she'll probably be gone by morning. Not so for a Sidhe, But between you and me, Their proclaimations will soon become boring. If you're into muscle, And like a good tussle, A Troll's passions are hot when ignited. But do not slip away, And DO send a bouquet, For they tend to explode when they're slighted. And some say "A Nocker Can be quite a rocker When looking for someone to play." But Nockers have vices, And left to devices, Find joy the mechanical way. Yes, a Nocker's good racking, When creativity's lacking For they constantly shout out directions. But redcaps should be shunned, When they nibble for fun Since it might very well lead to infections. But don't let them be strangers, For with their lust for danger Nine times out of ten they will thrill you. Though don't stick around, When a Redcap goes down For a flesh wound like that may well kill you. A Boggan, when boinked, Squeals an ecstatic 'oink!' More encouragement need not be added. They're quite under-rated: They're not easily sated, And the pushin's much better when padded. A pooka, you know, Is the best place to go If your fetishes run towards the beastial, But you're never quite sure If you really did score For true compliments may be a bit piecemeal. And a Satyr's quite nice But you'll find you need ice. They might get too enthusiastic. When all's said and done You'll have much more fun With a girl who's strung with elastic. For if "To find new positions!" Is your type of mission, One Kith's got advantages pointed. The Sluagh, my friend, Are most fun in that end; Need I remind you they're all double-jointed? And after the fact, While you go get a snack, Eshus talk off your ear bout some 'Ring Quest'. But for sweet talk at night, Though without pearly whites, A Sluagh's the most cunning of linguists. Her tastes are divine, This Sluagh of mine. She'll lend me an ear all the night. And it never offends When I party with friends; Least I've not heard her cry out in spite. Though I may wander, From one Trod to another, And entertain all with my punning. One things for sure, When the road gets a bore, To my Sluagh I'll come home a'running. --Maximillion Sterling, Satyr Wilder
