July 30th 1999 The N'Vaelahr welcome you. This site, like many other personal RPG web sites is a venue for the author to pontificate about his campaigns, his characters, the greatness of his ideas and the magic of his role-playing experience. Along the way, you may get an idea or two. Go ahead, steal them. Everyone does. That is the strong point of the web, using others work so you don't have to re-invent the wheel. I may have some useful stuff, then again I may not. I leave that as an exercise for the reader. - Bill Morgenthien |

The N'Vaelahr were the secret soldiers of the Elven Empire. They were at the peak of their power during the darkest hours of Elven history on Abeir Toril (The Forgotten Realms"), The Weeping War. They fought the forces of darkness closing in on Cormanthyr, The Empire of the Elves. They were the unsung and forgotten heroes, those willing to give all for their people, even though their people never knew who they were. The events surrounding the Fall of Myth Drannor and the N'Vaelahr are covered in the TSR® Accessory The Fall of Myth Drannor for the Arcane Age" Setting. That was the distant past. Over five hundred years later, after the Time of Troubles and the "Fall of Cyric" another force of Elves and mortals descended into the depths of the ancient forest Cormanthor to free it from the hordes left behind. Driven by different motives, they freed that dread place. For a brief time the Elven Empire rose from its ashes and marked the heartlands with its presence. On these pages, are some of their tales, and the tales that followed later. Here are the heroes and anti-heroes and those caught between. Some are memorable, some despicable, and some laughable. These were made of the blood sweat and tears of some of the best gamers I have known. Give them some respect and treat yourself to their stories. Why the Name? It will make more sense the more you read. Suffice to say that motives and actions are two different things. The site is constantly under construction with suggestions, requests, or questions. |
