Rules
Free Form Role-Playing=Role-playing with common sense.
It seems some people just have no common sense, so I have to include these rules.
Please read over them whether your a veteran player or a newbie.
Power Gaming
Nobody likes a power gamer. A power gamer is someone who refuses to be hurt in anyway and dictates other people's characters moves. This is bad. When Storm Shadow blocks every hit that 10 Cobra officers send, theres something abnormal going on. He may be able to do it in the comics or cheesy cartoon. He can't to it here. And even in the comic books Storm Shadow has many bloody marks after the battles. Also don't dictate other characters moves. If you don't play Storm Shadow, don't make a move for him, unless his player has given you permission before hand. This does have a catch though. When fighting "regulars", ie. crimson guards, grunts, or any other nameless characters, you can control them to an extent. Keywords here are "to an extent."
Point of View
If you don't know what this is, then you should start paying more attention in English class. When writing, always refer to your character and not to yourself. This is called the 3rd person point of view. Write, "Destro grins as Cobra Commander signs the documents." Don't write, "I grin as he signs the documents." This is confusing. So don't do it..
OOC
Keep out of character content to a minimal. If need be I will make an OOC community for OOC comments or suggestions. And also PLEASE when saying something OOC, say it maturely. No swearing of any kind. Be kind and curtious and everyone else will be kind and curtious to you.
IC Content
Conduct IC maturely also. I understand it may be in a characters nature to swear, but keep it to a low roar. Remember, there may be young ears wandering about. Violence, though, is definitly allowed. This is GIJoe. We use big guns and swords. There will be blood.
GMs Word
Game Masters word is supreme. If a GM says something happens, it happens. We will of course be fair. There are currently two Game Masters or Moderators. Me and Michael Richardson. If you're interested in being a Game Master, you can ask. Never hurts to ask. But don't feel rejected or pissed if I turn you down. Also, don't get cocky if I say yes.
Number of characters per player
I will allow players to pick two original GIJoe or Cobra characters. I am very lenient about this. I very rarely enforce it unless you start submitting everyone. You can have as many fan-fics as you like. However if this gets out of hand, we'll have to change it.
Plot stuff
If a plot has grown pass more than three posts, you may not join it unless you have consent from all players involved or unless your character or characters are involved(by your consent of course). Having a new Joe or Cobra join mid-story can be very confusing and get a bit repetitive when the antagonist has been beaten down when suddenly out of the ashes, appears another. Or when the evil villain is about to shoot the president, Snake Eyes dives from no where and shoots the villain between the eyes. There are however, of course, one or two exceptions. One was mentioned above. Another would probably be if your involvement was already planned. There are most likely others and I hope you will use your own discretion to differentiate between them and the 'non-ones'.
Killing off GIJoes and Cobras
This is a very touchy subject. If you kill off an original Joe or Cobra, you better make a damn good story out of it, or not do it at all. And you can NEVER kill off a character thats not yours. If that character is to be killed, the owner will write his death, and only the owner.
